Lac Saint Clair Little League FAQs

1. I’m new to LSCLL how do I sign up?
   1. Create a Login / User ID from the home page www.lacsaintclair.org
   2. Complete the information regarding “participants”
   3. Your son or daughter will automatically be placed in the proper age division
   4. Complete registration by Credit Card online                                                                                                                              
2. Can I pay by cash or check?
   1. LSCLL accepts cash or check at the walk in registration events.  Check  www.lacsaintclair.org  for date, time & location
   2. You are required to create a Login / User ID if you are a new customer. All players are required to be in the database for Little League                                                                                                                                                                               
3. I don’t live in St Clair Shores – Can my child play?
   1. Lac Saint Clair Little League resides in District 6 which incorporates areas outside of SCS.  Check www.lacsaintclair.org for the most updated boundary map.  You can also use the Little League Finder link on our web-site to see what league you are eligible to participate and play.
   2. Little League allows children that go to school within the district to play even if you live outside of the boundary lines.  You will be required to provide proof of registration for your respective school within the boundary of LSCLL.                   
4. I have multiple children eligible to play Little League – Is financial assistance available?                                                                
   1. LSCLL offers a program for families with 3 children participating.  The youngest registered player is free to play with two older siblings registered.
   2. This is a manual process and must be coordinated with LSCLL to complete the registration and take advantage of the assistance.    Contact information is lacsaintclairlittleleague@gmail.com                                                                                 
5. How does the ticket raffle program work?
   1. Every paid registration receives a book of tickets worth $30.  Parents have the option of selling the tickets at $2 each and keeping the money or fill out the tickets and give back to the league for entry into the raffle drawing at the end of the season picnic.  Multiple cash prizes are drawn.
   2. This is an opportunity for those that wish to sell the tickets to off-set some of the cost of registration.                                    
6. How can I become a coach or assistant coach?
   1. As a volunteer based organization, Lac Saint Clair is always for looking for help.  Visit www.lacsaintclair.org and print out then complete the volunteer form. 
   2. Contact the league by email [email protected] , phone or in person to discuss your interest.
   3. A background check is necessary every year for our volunteers and upon acceptance we look forward to your time and support.                                                                                                                                                                                        
7. How can my business or employer sponsor a team?
   1. Thank you for your interest in supporting LSCLL.  Your sponsorship helps to control our costs, improve the fields and allow over 800 boys and girls to enjoy the game of baseball / softball
   2. Complete the sponsorship form from the web site www.lacsaintclair.org and contact the league.  A representative will come to your business and pick up the form and the check.  Your business name, email address, and/or web site will be featured on our site                                                                                                                                                                      
8. What if my child’s skill and development is higher or lower than the age appropriate program he/she is registered for in LSCLL?
   1. The guidelines for boys and girls programs are established by Little League.  Lac Saint Clair holds a pre-season skills assessment of all 9-12 yr old boys and girls to help determine the appropriate level of play.  
   2. There may be a cost to change divisions and parents are expected to pay any difference that may exist between programs    
9. Can I request a specific coach, team, teammates for my child?                                                                                                          
   1. We will put siblings together that belong in the same division.  We do not take requests for teams, coaches or friends.
   2. Once drafted, players do not switch teams.                                                                                                                                 
10. When does the season begin?
    1. Please visit the web site www.lacsaintclair.org for information on each division.  You will be given information on registration, divisions, potential team size, number of teams, etc…
